Make the Kitty Head

Follow the video’s increases and decreases, marking the beginning of each round. The original article notes a head that grows to 30 stitches, followed by four even rounds, but those checkpoints do not replace the complete sequence.

Add filling gradually and check the face area for lumps. The head should hold its shape without becoming so rigid that it cannot sit comfortably inside the shark suit.

Make the small ears and bow according to the demonstration. Keep their proportions modest so they do not crowd the mouth opening.

Before securing the face, identify the head’s front and check the spacing of the eyes and nose. The bow should leave room for the surrounding white mouth border.

Shape the Shark Body

The shark suit begins at the narrow tail end and widens toward the face opening. Follow the tutorial’s shaping rather than estimating the increases from the finished photograph.

Change from Rounds to Jaw Rows
